    TRIALS

The Sidcup & District Motor Cycle Club has been running trials since the club's inception in 1928. We run a busy schedule of trials events at our Canada Heights venue mainly over the winter months (October to January).

Typically we kick off the local trials season with the Sidcup Sixty on the third Sunday of January.  This trial has been run by the club since 1931 and it caters for all modern solo classes (see SETC). On Easter Monday we run a Beginners and Wobblers trial, where riders new to the sport can ride sections designed for beginners on all sorts of bikes, including sidecars. On the first Sunday in November we run a trial for the North Kent Trials Combine (NKTC), the Simmons Cup for local riders on all sorts of bikes. In November we run a Beginners and Wobblers trial, where riders new to the sport can ride sections designed for beginners on all sorts of bikes, including sidecars. On the first Sunday in December we run the Jack Thompson British Bike Trial, celebrating classic (pre 1967) British bikes. In addition there are club trials and practice events at several club functions such as the August Camping Weekend and November clearing up day.

In addition to trials on Canada Heights, we run Long Distance Trials using lanes and byways in Kent aimed at green laners.  These events are open to riders on road registered enduro and trail bikes.
