Report
By Jamie Clarke
On Good Friday 25th March, Sidcup & DMCC organised a very successful Closed to Club motocross. Almost 200 club members took part in the event, on the full and graded British Motocross championship track as used during the 1st round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship (the Early Birds) only 2 weeks before. Fine weather made for a perfect days racing in all classes, with British motocross (and enduro) championship contenders though to first timers on trail bikes competing. This event will form part of a two round club motocross championship (separate from the annual championship calculated over SEMX events) with trophies sponsored by Surrey Offroad, the second round being held on Sunday 19th June. The club would like to thank all the volunteers who staffed the meeting and allowed some of the regular volunteers a rare chance for a ride (myself included!).
