Bank Holiday Monday saw a turn in the weather from the previous day's heavy rain to brilliant sunshine and like the sunshine the crowds and the riders turn out en masse at the Canada Heights circuit to see 3 groups of Juniors, Expert and a round of the Sidecar Clubman's series all with a full line up in all classes. With brilliant days racing across the class, especially in the experts, which was a Sidcup club rider dominated affair with Ben Taylor winning overall with two firsts and a second place despite having raced at the British Championship the day before and coming tenth. Unfortunately there were several injuries; one necessitating the London Air Ambulance and club wishes all the injured riders a speedy recovery.

Round 3 Sidecar Motocross Clubmans Series was held at Canada Heights on Monday, with two classes of riders, firstly those who hold a top 15 British Championship plate - they do not qualify for points, and every one else - these were the teams fighting to gain championship points. Of the top 30 team the major battles were between Andy Eastman / Colin Dunkley and the young Watson brothers, behind them Paul Pelling / Greg Wernham held the advantage over Mark Kinge / Steve Hodges with Stewart Lines / Stuart Dance the last non-qualifying team. The real action was with the next group of riders, as expected Andy May / Ray Bell were leading the battle, but their engine expired in race two, putting them out for the rest of the day. Behind Scott Eaton / Paul Hutchman took advantage and with three good finishes and an overall championship win, battled throughout the day with Steve Peters and stand in passenger Gary Burt, who suffered intermittent mechanical problems, but fought back each time the bike stopped. Third on the day went to Andy Breacher / Adam Hillyard with consistent positions. Although leading the championship Tony Suskins / Dave Tye had a difficult day with mechanical problems hampering their progress. In the solo classes it was Ben Taylor who dominated the Expert Class, taking wins in two of the three races, his main rival for the day was David Williams, took the win in race two. Behind there was a strong battle for the lower places, with Danny Smyth and Tom Fuller finishing well, with Jody Smyth and Den Verbeeten close behind. The final solo class was the Juniors with a large entry across three races. The fastest A group was headed by Justin Stevenson, just ahead of Mark Taylor. With the B group battles well fought between Pete Gilder and David Ford, with Adam Sankey keeping the both within his sights. The final C group saw consistency frem the leading riders with two wins for Dean Willis, ahead of Ross Broughton and Steven Sapsford in both races.
