Sidcup Sidecar only Trial 28th Oct
Report by Rob Cameron - from here on Steve's place
What a fantastic day, The trial was won by Karl Jarvis and Ian Allaway (500 Triumph) only loosing 11 marks all day! for all of you that are not aware Ian is blind. Terrific to watch them both. Ian Hannam and Debbie Smith (BSA 500) put in a very tidy days riding to finish on 21 marks lost with Rob Cameron and Bludge Smith (Ariel/AJS) having their best ride to date finishing 3rd overall with 29 marks lost.
The trial was run using 8 sections in the morning with everyone doing two laps and then after a break sections 9 to 16 were completed twice. It was not an easy trial by any standard and proved a little too demanding for sidecar trails new comers Matt and Emma Kingsmill usually seen on the Classic BMW road race outfit.
Paul Randall and Scott Cameron showed they are getting to grips with their Triumph outfit and it was noticeable they had improved since their first outing a couple of weeks ago. The trial was also for modern outfits as well. These are just incriedable you just would not believe what they are capable of doing!
Well run trial with plenty of demanding sections that stretched all of the classes.
