FAQ
This pages should answer some common questions. I will add to it over time.
If you have a question email me or ask on the MXTrax message board
- If you want to know a bit about the club or me look on the about page.
- If you want to know about the track go to the Canada Heights page.
- The most definitive, accurate and up to date guide to practice tracks can be found at www.mxtrax.co.uk
- Youth MX (ie under 15) - The East Kent SSC cover all of Kent and more. They hire Canada Heights once a year for an International. There are other club in others areas such as GEST (for East Sussex) and Mid Sussex. The Sidcup club doesn't run any classes for under 15's. Once your 15, you start like all newcomers in the juniors and progressing to expert status once you have enough points.
- Insurance - for off road bikes there are few companies, but one that is often recommenced is Marsh. They can be got hold of at Marsh UK Limited, Mount Pleasant House, Lonsdale Gardens, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1NY Phone: 01892 553160 Fax: 01892 553161
- Youth Trials - While (I think) we are quite happy for youths to enter our trials, they would be competing on the same routes as everyone else at that event (Youth A with experts on white, youth B with Inters on Blue, youth C with novices on red, youth D on the wobbler route at our wobbler / evening trials). The Kent Youth Trials Club is worth a look for real first timers with no experience.
- Youth Enduros - They don't exist - sorry.
- Enduro info - have a look at this site www.endurouk.com. For info on getting started I would recommend a read of the local enduro news website and this intro guide. Any further questions can be answered on the Mxtrax.co.uk enduro forum.
- Trials info - there are few trials sites but have a look at the Bexleyheath, Trials Central (especially the forum) and Trials Info. An intro to trials, especially Beginner and Wobbler trials can be found here on the Double Five website.
- MX news - see Trials and Motocross news in your newsagent every Friday or visit MX247.com and MXLarge.com.
- LDT - For info on getting started I would recommend a read of the local enduro news website, the LDT dates list website, and the Rides.org.uk forum (Rides list) is a must. Any further questions can be answered on the Mxtrax.co.uk enduro and trail forum and the Rides list.
