Track Alterations 2003
Start Corner
In the run up to the 2003 Early Birds, at the working parties (please come and join us) the track has been slightly altered to hopefully improve the venue.
Here are some photos taken after the snow (hence the water and mud).
This is the top of the start hill and you are still turning left, however now after the left you will be going straight on for a bit.
Same again.
The new work area - it is no longer at the top of the "steps", from this position access from the paddock will be easier and separation from the spectators will be ensured. Access is from behind the start line.
Looking at where back at where the lap will end - rider will be coming towards this point at the end of the lap and going straight on.
Looking back at the start hill.
This is where the riders will have come up the start hill on the left of the middleground and turn right into the foreground of this photo before going down the "steps" via the foreground.
Same again.
Standing on the "old" finish jump, the new corner is visible.
The second half of the new corner, going up the "old" start loop.
The "old" start loop will be the new finish line.
Why I forgot to lop my hand off this photo I don't know. The finish line in the foreground, with the start on the right of the middle ground and the track off to the steps in the background.
